christmas is just around the corner!

although most people i know are in the camp of "don't even talk to me about christmas until thanksgiving is over," i'm not so much. i think i can blame costa rica, who starts to deck the halls in early september, for that one.

anyway...because i'm quite proud of how it turned out, and i'm pretty sure the recipient of this gift (my almost-3-month-old nephew, cooper) isn't a dedicated reader of this blog yet, i'll show you my first completed project.


i got the idea from a super cute baby boutique i went to with a friend--they had adorable onesies like this for sale for a not-so-adorable $38 price tag. so i found a navy blue long-sleeve onesie from old navy, cute fabric from hobby lobby, and stitched on a little homemade tie for it in under an hour tonight. i wish it came in my size! or maybe ruffin's size.



i'll go ahead and give a shoutout to my sibs--ricky/angie, jo/pat, whenever you guys are ready for babies, i'll be ready to make them cute things. ready yet??
