leavin on a jet plane...

and when i say "jet plane" i mean 10-seats-across-huge-monster-boeing 777. but all the same, leaving. these 3.5 months we've been preparing for are finally here. and this donald miller quote seems all too appropriate today.

"here's the truth about telling stories with your life. it's going to sound like a great idea and you are going to get excited about it, and then when it comes time to do the work you're not going to want to do it. people love to have lived a great story, but few people like the work it takes to make it happen. but joy costs pain."

and really, that quote came from an even BETTER book...if you can believe it.



this book. this book was compiled by my bestie, full of notes from precisely the type of people that read this blog...people that love us and support us. so thank you. thank you for your friendship, it moves and shapes and marks us in ways that are hard to put into words. i am constantly overwhelmed by the friendships the Lord has blessed us with--we are who we are because of you.



thanks for loving us, for believing in us, for sending us.

as we board the plane later this afternoon and walk off the runway on the other side, we will be thinking of you!
