because i don't want to deal with the heartbreak of a lose, i trained myself at a young age to go to a royals game for reasons other than to see them win, or to even play well...it's what we kc folk have to do to keep our heads up around here. my strategy has always been to go to the royals game a) when i stumble across free tickets b) on fireworks friday or c) on buck night.
and TWO of those things happened last night. we had a great time with friends, enjoying some awesome free tickets from a family friend (thanks bergmans!!), shared a funnel cake with at least a pound of powdered sugar, and i won't say much about the baseball--but the fireworks certainly didn't disappoint.
