who knows how it happened, but all of a sudden--it's november 10th. and we are done with our CPx training on december 10th! and by january 10th...we'll be in another continent.
life has been moving really fast as we are getting all the details worked out. our visas are back (yay!), our flights are purchased, we are looking into travel insurance, and we have sent out most of our support letters explaining more about the trip. crazy!
this training has been wonderful, and i'm so excited to pass on what we have learned to the 20-somethings in our host couple's church. we hope that they will catch on to the vision of transforming their country, their people. it's just plain silly to think we will "accomplish" much as outsiders, and in the 3-4 months we will be there. but i do know that God has huge plans for india.
like good news to the poor. binding up the brokenhearted. proclaiming freedom for captives. release from darkness for the prisoners. proclaiming the year of the Lord's favor. to comfort all who mourn. and provide for those who grieve--a crown of beauty instead of ashes, oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.
"they will bee called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor." - isaiah 61:1-3
and i also know that we feel crazy blessed to be a part of it all.
