of course this is india, and things never go quite as planned...we started with 7-8 kids, and after whipping out some colored pencils to make each of them a nametag, we were surrounded with a whole neighborhood of kids (probably about 25, no lie). so while hella spent an hour and a half making nametags, i spent that time laughing. and taking pictures. and laughing about how excited these kids get when their picture is taken. they are adorable.
this little one was super scared of me, until i busted out the camera and she quickly decided i was alright.
this is our adopted dog, dusty, with his new family. he is well loved.
see? totally warming up to me.
this picture actually isn't from that night at all--but just a little fyi: women work freaking hard in this part of the world. it is a rare sight to see a guy in a construction area (unless he's smoking or drinking chai on the corner). can you imagine those neck muscles? hardcore.
bye bye for now!
What beautiful pictures, Libby!
