in the wide world of sports, there are a whole lot of fierce rivalries. one i had never given much thought to before landing in this crazy country is arguably the most intense of all: india vs. pakistan in cricket. (kinda hard to disagree with the merit of a rivalry supported on one side by over a billion people...) cricket is the only support india gives the time of day to, and pakistan is THE team/country to beat. and it's a dang big deal. as in, 60% of corporate workers in india got the day off to watch the match. and yes, you would need the whole day, as the game took about 8 hours to play...with india coming off on top.

this is so awesome, looking forward to the day we can go back to manhattan and celebrate like this...one day...
