that just happened.

i finally got around to printing off some (okay, 300) of our pictures
from india and nepal and put them in an album today.

and as i was sliding each picture in,
i was again amazed at everything we got to experience.

all the places we saw.

the people we got to meet.

the memories we share with each other, and few others.

it's easy to convince myself it wasn't really real.
(i know that sounds crazy, but it's true!)

and then i see the pictures of these sweet indian faces staring up in the camera.
the faces of people we were with for such a short time.
the faces of people i could hardly communicate with.
and yet, i had to stop half-way through to compose myself a bit.

(sorry for the crick in your neck, my computer's being a bit stubborn)

it's amazing the impact a person can have on a life.
i think the neighbors, drivers, church friends, train-riders, children,
and store-owners we met won't ever realize how they affect me.

we might not have been able to understand each other much more than
"hello" (namaste) and "how are you?" (ap ke se ho?)
but just know: you wreck me. (in the best way.)

but i hope they know, in whatever way they can understand,
that i love them. and wish them peace, love, and joy.
